Tagine

Tagine is a small, tucked-away Moroccan restaurant in Beverly Hills that’s ideal for a romantic dinner or catching up over a pot of sweet mint tea. The dim, red room is lined with plush booths that you fully sink into while snacking on small plates like smoky eggplant zaalouk and sweet-savory chicken bastilla. And if you’re torn between couscous or tagine for dinner, the good news is you won’t be disappointed by either. The chicken tagine is a solid version of the  Moroccan staple, with tender chicken and a silky, gravy-like sauce. But if “solid” isn’t cutting it for you and you want something delicious enough to brag at work about, get the honey lamb couscous. It’s steaming hot, fluffy, and filled with fall-off-the-bone stewed lamb, which hits you with a waft of sweet and earthy shank the moment it hits the table.
