Maillards

Maillards makes a strong case for eating a lot of beef before 10am. Their smashburger—available starting 9am at the Outer Sunset Farmers Market until sell out—is the breakfast of champions. The patties are pressed so thin they could be classified as chips (they’re the crispiest smashburgers we’ve seen in the city). But they don’t compromise on what makes a burger great—they’re still tender and juicy, and a gooey vision loaded with melty American cheese, pickles, house sauce, and caramelized shallots. Well-seasoned fries round out the whole thing.
