Kiosko 787

When you need a quick lunch that’ll make you feel something, check out Kiosko 787. This place operates out of a periwinkle blue storefront in Gowanus—the former home of My Cuban Spot—and serves a takeout-only menu of Puerto Rican classics like arroz mamposteao and gooey-on-the-inside guava and cheese empanadillas. The picadillo-filled relleno de papa is one of the best in town, the pernil is well-marinated and comes with a big side of arroz con gandules, and the Cubano is almost as good as the previous tenant’s version. If you don’t want to drag your food home, eat your roast pork at a folding table out front.
