I Sodi

The original I Sodi was iconic, beloved, and, due to its teeny size, impossible to get into. Now that it’s relocated to a larger space on Bleecker with an expanded dining room and hidden back patio, grabbing a table should be easier, but not by much. The food is still Tuscan, pristine, and so simple it seems effortless, although you’d have to sweat pretty hard to replicate this restaurant’s artichoke salad or tagliatelle al limone at home. Is the faux-farmhouse space as charming as it used to be? Not really. But we always wished I Sodi had more seats, so it’s hard to complain. If you miss the old version, sit in the backyard and order the lasagna. You’ll get over it.
