Funky Elephant

Funky Elephant in the Mission is a party restaurant that serves up great food. Every dish at this Thai spot is a flavor-packed jamboree on a plate—all the flavors are ramped up to 10 (and the spice is too, if you ask). Take the pad thai old skool, a blend of gulf white shrimp, tofu, and sweet but slightly acidic tamarind that works in perfect harmony, or the fresh papaya salad with crisp snake beans and Thai chilies that'll get you sweating. And with pink lights, bumping music, and a disco ball—what more could you need from the city’s most fun restaurant that always makes us excited to go back?
