Bar Crudo

Bar Crudo pulls double duty as both a great place to get seafood and a bar ideal for casual dates of all kinds. We usually come here for the oysters and marinated mussels, as well as their incredible smokey seafood chowder that’s full of shrimp, squid, different types of fish, mussels, and bacon. Bar Crudo’s phenomenal seafood Happy Hour (5-6:30pm) also never fails to draw us in with $2 oysters, $5 beers, and $8 wine when we’re not trying to blow out our bank account.

Food Rundown

Oysters & Shellfish

The big reason you're here. Oysters and mussels come by the half-dozen and dozen.

Herb & Jalepeño Marinated Mussels

Putting some seasoning on fresh seafood could be considered downright criminal, but not so in this case. These mussels have a nice kick.

Arctic Char

This is a beautiful and simple work of art where the fish does the talking. Dill, wasabi tobiko, and horseradish crème fraîche take it to the next level.

Lobster Salad

Every element in this refreshing lobster salad stands out—big chunks of garden-fresh tomatoes, yellow corn, and tangy vinaigrette. There's even some top-of-the-line burrata on the top for good measure.

Seafood Chowder

The ingredient list: fish, mussels, squid, shrimp, potatoes, applewood smoked bacon. Sound amazing? It is. The broth is not too think, either. The small bowl of it is $9 at Happy Hour, so if we lived in the area we’d have it once a week.
